If you are using a mod manager such as R2 or Thunderstore Bepinex is usually installed by default when you install any other mods, so you can safely ignore the rest of this guide. If you are using Vortex it is highly recommended you do not install Bepinex with it as the version it installs has been known to cause issues. Continue to step 1 to manually install Bepinex correctly.

1: Go to Thunderstore Bepinex Valheim

2: Click "Manual Download" and save the file to your Desktop or a folder of your choice.

3: Extract the contents of the file you downloaded. Inside you should see a folder called BepinExPack_Valheim. Go into this folder and copy the following files and folders to the root of your Valheim game folder (where Valheim.exe is located)

4: Run Valheim until you get to the startup screen. If the mod is working you should notice an extra window pop up with debug information similar to the below image. If you don't see the window you may need to press Alt Tab to swap to it. If you still do not see the window then go over the instructions again and verify all files are in the correct place.
